Maquete / SketchUp AI Render
Maquete vs SketchUp AI Render: workflow and credits
Compare SketchUp’s integrated AI Render with Maquete’s guided rendering workflow. Start with the tools you already have, then judge one source view against both outputs.
Two ways to render a SketchUp view
SketchUp AI Render works on desktop, iPad and web. It offers prompts, style presets and image tools including Erase, Paint and Sketch. It is a convenient starting point if you already work in SketchUp.
Maquete offers an optional native SketchUp plugin and browser uploads from other modelling tools. Guided material and lighting controls, subsequent viewpoints, video and project sharing support a workflow beyond the first still. Review the source/output examples before choosing.
Methodology
We compare workflow fit, geometry fidelity, setup time, hardware needs, output format, pricing model, and how quickly an architect can move from model view to client-ready image.

Compare allowances, not credit counts
SketchUp AI Render uses 10 SketchUp AI Credits per output. Go includes 100 credits monthly, Pro 150 and Studio 200; SketchUp Free includes none. These are different units from Maquete credits. Maquete paid plans start at US$9/month; a standard 2K still uses 1 Maquete credit and a 4K still uses 2, subject to plan access.

Both workflows generate images. Compare camera, openings, fixed furniture and material boundaries with the model. This page does not establish a quality winner or guarantee exact geometry. Use a model-based renderer when dimensions or an exact camera path are essential.
