Let’s turn your panoramas into an interactive spatial tour with Maquete Tours, so clients can look around and move between viewpoints. Start with at least two completed panoramas saved in the same Maquete project. Each panorama represents a position where the viewer can stand. For this example, I’m using Laura’s living room and kitchen. Open 360-degree Panorama and choose Create tour. Choose your project, open Select panoramas, and select the views you want to include. Then select Create tour. Give your tour a clear title. Name each viewpoint so it’s easy to recognise. I’m using Living room and Kitchen. Select the living room. Drag to choose the direction visitors should face when this viewpoint opens, then select Save current opening view. Set it as the Starting viewpoint. Select Kitchen and save its opening view too. Then return to Living room. Now let’s connect the two views. In the living room, select Connect rooms. Drag the panorama until the crosshair points towards the route into the kitchen. Select Confirm placement. Choose Kitchen as the destination, then select Open destination. This tells Maquete where that arrow should take the visitor. Once the kitchen opens, select Add return arrow. Point the crosshair towards the route back to the living room, then select Save both connections. You now have an arrow in each direction. For a larger project, repeat this process to connect the remaining viewpoints. Select Preview. Drag to look around, follow the arrow into the kitchen, and use the return arrow to go back. Check that the arrows are easy to find and each opening view faces a useful direction. Once you’ve checked every viewpoint and transition, tick the review box and select Publish tour. When publication finishes, select Copy link. Open that link to see what your client will see. They can explore the tour in their browser, looking around and moving between the connected views. Your tour is also available in its Maquete project. Open the project and find it under Tours whenever you want to edit it or copy the link again. Start with two panoramas, connect the route in both directions, and create a tour your clients can explore.
